Warsaw has plenty of accommodation to suit everyone, from smart business hotels in the centre of the city, to something more luxurious around the Old Town, and more budget-focused hostels and rooms towards the fringes. Here is a list of what we consider amongst the best places to stay, broken down into different categories.
InterContinental Warszawa
As always, the cost of hotels always depends on location, budget, and time of year. You can find a good 3-star room in Warsaw for less than 380zł per night (85€), but expect to pay 530-980zł (120-220€) during the peak summer months. You can also expect to pay more at the weekend.
As a rough rule of thumb, you’ll find some of the most luxurious places up around the Old Town and tucked behind the Palace of Culture and Science. Business hotels tend to cluster along the whole central strip, whilst there are boutique hotels dotted around, with some interesting new additions in the Praga area across the river.
Mid-range hotels are spread right across the city and there are some very nice family apartments around the Old Town. More budget accommodation tends to be on the fringes of the centre, often to the south and west.

InterContinental Warszawa

Nestled just behind the iconic Palace of Culture and Science, the InterContinental is Warsaw’s tallest hotel – which the unparalleled view from the pool on the 43rd floor makes clear. The star restaurant, luxurious interiors, and wellness facilities are everything you would expect from 5-star accommodation.

Best Warsaw Boutique Hotel
Mamaison Le Regina Boutique Hotel
Mamaison Le Regina Boutique Hotel

For discerning design and a romantic location, Mamaison Le Regina Boutique Hotel is hard to beat. This former palace is now the perfect blend of classic Polish style with modernist touches. Gorgeous modern furniture mixes well with regal flora murals. The architecture of each room is different, with interior details to match. The French-Polish restaurant La Rotisserie reinterprets classic dishes and there is a Roman-style indoor pool. A genuine pleasure.

Best Warsaw Family Accommodation
Movo Old Town Apartments
Movo Old Town Apartments

Sat just outside the old city walls, a Movo Old Town Apartment is a great location for exploring the historic centre of Warsaw. These tasteful lodgings are particularly suited to families who like to their creature comforts at the end of the day. Immaculately clean and great value for money, these feel very new and well-maintained. The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms are very good, and you can even request parking directly outside.

Best Warsaw Mid-Range Hotel
Motel One Warsaw-Chopin
Motel One Warsaw-Chopin
(View on Booking.com or Agoda.com)
Whilst the Motel One Warsaw-Chopin has competition in this price bracket, I don’t think any of other others are as well placed in the city. The front rooms look directly over the Chopin Museum. In fact, most of the key sights are easily reached from here. If you’re looking for a comfortable yet reasonably-priced room without all the frills, this is definitely the one to consider.

Best Warsaw Business Hotel
Mercure Warszawa Centrum
Mercure Warszawa Centrum

Located in Warsaw’s thriving business district and excellent for transport, the Mercure Centrum has spacious, comfortable rooms and highly-rated service. The rooms look new and the soundproofing means you’ll wake up refreshed and ready for work. Single rooms are also available – many with a bathtub. There’s also plenty in the area for entertainment after hours.

Best Warsaw Budget Hotel
Hotel Chmielna Warsaw
Hotel Chmielna Warsaw
(View on Booking.com or Agoda.com)
In Warsaw, even a 2-star property like Hotel Chmielna has a good standard of service and function. The interiors may be a little plain but the rooms look new and in excellent condition. If you want a comfortable bed at the end of the day, this absolutely fits the bill. What’s more, I’ve never stayed in a Polish hotel with a substandard bathroom! There’s a good craft beer bar on the premises, where you can also get Italian food. The staff are on hand 24 hours a day and are generally very helpful. It can be noisy with the window open on warmer nights and, for some, the rooms feel a little small. But these are trade-offs for the price you pay.

Plan where to stay in Warsaw with the WarsawVisit map. Hotels are marked in blue.

Click on the icon in the top left corner for an index of every location, sorted by category. Scroll down or use the map search (the magnifying glass icon) to find the place you want. Click the name of the place in the list. Its location pin will be highlighted on the map.
Each category is on a different layer, which can be switched on and off. So you can just see the Hotel or Restaurant pins, for example.
