Whilst cheaper accommodation is certainly available, we have chosen three low-cost hotels that score consistently well across the board. Each of these is modern, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, with a friendly level of customer surface.
Hotel Chmielna Warsaw
Even the poshest hotels can struggle to get the basics down. On the other hand, this is exactly what a thriving low-cost property must get right, because they have nothing else to hide behind. Almost every traveller appreciates a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom with good water pressure, and a friendly face to greet them. Each of the following scores consistently, while adding something unique, whether it be local nightlife, proximity to the airport, or a range of other little thoughtful touches.
In this class, rates will generally vary according to season, demand, and location. Prices are highest in the summer (late June to the end of September) and around Easter and Christmas, when you could end up paying 600zł (130€) per night for a double room in the ibis Centrum and 625zł (135€) for the Chmielna.
Costs can drop as low as 225zł (49€) per night for the ibis Centrum at other times of the year – also a double room, with the Chmielna coming in at around 300zł (64€) and the Mokotów at 333zł (71€).
Exchange rates are as of October 2023.

Where many of Warsaw’s budget hotels are on the fringes of the city, Hotel Chmielna sits in the shadow of the iconic Palace of Culture and Science, surrounded by excellent restaurants and nightlife – a good location for seeing most of the key sights.
ibis Warszawa Centrum

The ibis brand may be simple, but it does this well and represents good value for money. Instead of luxury, the Warszawa Centrum offers friendly service, a good night’s sleep, and many thoughtful touches.
Hotel Mokotów

Functional and comfortable, the Hotel Mokotów achieves what it sets out to do. Some of the rooms have attractive exposed brickwork and the bathrooms are really very stylish. Most of all, this is a clean and comfortable place to spend the night, and represents good value for money.
Map of Warsaw Hotels
Plan where to stay in Warsaw with the WarsawVisit map. Hotels are marked in blue.
Each type of landmark has a different colour marker on the map:
- YELLOW: Warsaw Sightseeing
- BLUE: Warsaw Hotels
- RED: Warsaw Places To Eat – Michelin restaurants are DARK RED
- ORANGE: Warsaw Nightlife
- PURPLE: Shopping In Warsaw
- GREEN: Warsaw Transportation
Click on a marker and it will give you the name of the landmark, with a brief description and links for more information and directions. You can pan, scroll, and zoom around the map, or use the + or – buttons in the bottom left of the map to zoom in and out.
Click on the icon in the top left corner for an index of every location, sorted by category. Scroll down or use the map search (the magnifying glass icon) to find the place you want. Click the name of the place in the list. Its location pin will be highlighted on the map.
Each category is on a different layer, which can be switched on and off. So you can just see the Hotel or Restaurant pins, for example.
If you are using the map on your phone, open the Visit Warsaw map and then search for the name of the place. The map will then zoom in on its location.
