For many travellers, accommodation is a place to clean up and get a good night’s sleep, before getting out again the next morning for another day of sightseeing. Here are our recommendations for hotels that get these core fundamentals right, with each based in a different part of Warsaw and offering something a little different to guests.
Motel One Warsaw-Chopin
The mid-range hotel market has become more complex in recent years, as it stretches to borrow elements from hostels, boutiques, and AirBnB-style apartments. At root, though, this bracket aims at a comfortable sleeping experience with a good shower, and a sprinkling of design to differentiate from the competition. The trade-off is often location, as the prime real estate belongs to the 4- and 5-star properties.
Obviously the cost of a 3-star room is increased by extras such as private cooking facilities, but you can roughly expect to pay around 370zł (80€) per night for two people during the low season and closer to 450zł (97€) during the peak months. However, if you book at the right time, it’s possible to find prices as low as 255zł (55€). Some apartment-style accommodation also offers a discount for stays of more than 7 nights.
Exchange rates are as of October 2023.

Whilst the Motel One Warsaw-Chopin has competition in this price bracket, I don’t think any of other others are as well placed in the city. If you’re looking for a comfortable yet reasonably-priced room without all the frills, this is definitely the one to consider.
Moxy Warsaw Praga

Moxy is the Marriott hotel brand aimed at younger travellers, with colourful, playful, communal spaces for meeting people and desk areas for laptop work. The location in arty Praga is no accident. The rooms are functional with a nod to comfortable minimalism. However, despite the obvious pitch to global nomads, the Moxy is surprisingly popular with young families.
Hotel MDM City Centre

With a striking colour scheme and Stalinist-era exterior, the MDM City Centre has a definite Cold War feeling. However, the hotel has plenty going for it. The staff are friendly, the beds are very comfortable, and with clean, soundproofed rooms. Families and single travellers on a budget should especially take a look, especially once the excellent breakfast is factored into the cost.
Hotel Tulip Residences Warsaw Targowa

The Hotel Tulip offers good value accommodation, particularly for solo travellers and families, and the limited self-catering facilities can help save you money. But, if you are in Warsaw for more traditional sights, you’ll have to travel back over the river. On the other hand, this is the ideal place to stay if you’re seeing an event at the nearby stadium.
Map of Warsaw Hotels
Plan where to stay in Warsaw with the WarsawVisit map. Hotels are marked in blue.
Each type of landmark has a different colour marker on the map:
- YELLOW: Warsaw Sightseeing
- BLUE: Warsaw Hotels
- RED: Warsaw Places To Eat – Michelin restaurants are DARK RED
- ORANGE: Warsaw Nightlife
- PURPLE: Shopping In Warsaw
- GREEN: Warsaw Transportation
Click on a marker and it will give you the name of the landmark, with a brief description and links for more information and directions. You can pan, scroll, and zoom around the map, or use the + or – buttons in the bottom left of the map to zoom in and out.
Click on the icon in the top left corner for an index of every location, sorted by category. Scroll down or use the map search (the magnifying glass icon) to find the place you want. Click the name of the place in the list. Its location pin will be highlighted on the map.
Each category is on a different layer, which can be switched on and off. So you can just see the Hotel or Restaurant pins, for example.
If you are using the map on your phone, open the Visit Warsaw map and then search for the name of the place. The map will then zoom in on its location.
