Cocktails with a difference are the order of the day at Klar, a unique bar right on the edge of Warsaw’s Old Town.

There are plenty of cocktail bars in Warsaw but Klar has a few features that make it unique. First the unusual ingredients, such as infused vodkas and seasonal products, give the drinks here a very different taste. Second, the compact venue makes full use of the space, with a secret, speakeasy bar and a discreet ‘Game Room’. Finally, Klar has a Krakowskie Przedmiescie address, close to the Old Town.

Old and New Town Districts: Meticulously reconstructed after WWII, Warsaw’s historical Old Town contains many of the city’s key landmarks, including the must-see Royal Castle, and is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. The New Town is quieter and home to excellent boutique hotels, such as the Mamaison Le Regina. The district is full of great restaurants, but try traditional U Barssa on the Market Square, if you can’t decide.
