Warsaw’s main airport is well connected to the city centre, but the convenience of an overnight stay is sometimes a necessary option. If you’re travelling in or out of Warsaw via the main terminal, you have a choice of nearby properties to choose from in the mid-range to luxury price bracket. Find out more below.

Although Warsaw’s Chopin Airport is easy to reach from the city centre, an overnight stay right next door sometimes makes more sense on the first or last night of a trip. It avoids any last-minute transport issues and can generally make transit less stressful. This is particularly true of very early or late flight times.
Warsaw Chopin has a large range of excellent accommodation less than a mile away, mostly in the mid-range to luxury bracket. If you wanted a budget hotel, you’re probably better staying in the city centre. The point of an airport hotel is its proximity and ease of transit, so we have chosen properties that lie pretty much within the airport perimeter. Two are effectively across the road from the terminal entrance and plugged into the airport’s transport infrastructure.
Please note: these hotels serve Warsaw’s main Chopin Airport (WAW) and not Warsaw Modlin (WMI), which is used by some budget airlines but much further away.
Both the 4-star Courtyard by Marriott and 5-star Renaissance can be seen from the airport terminal, with entrances across the street. You could check out of either hotel and be ready to go through airport security within 10 minutes. The Airport Hotel Okęcie is another 4-star property but thanks to its location is a little cheaper than the Marriott. Finally, the 3-star Hampton by Hilton is also slightly further out but should suit a mid-range budget.
If you need a cheaper option, you could investigate the sleeping pods near Gate 2N / 3N in the non-Schengen zone. These little mattress capsules are big enough for the tallest person and come with an eye mask, earplugs, slippers, a pillow, and a blanket. These may do at a pinch but it’s doubtful you’d get the same quality of sleep.

Located just 400 yards from the airport terminal building, on the opposite side of the road, the Courtyard by Marriott scores highly across the board for service, cleanliness, facilities, and comfort. As with the Renaissance (see below), you’ll pay a premium for the location, but there’s nothing like the convenience of starting the day with an excellent breakfast and strolling to the airport for your flight.

With an indoor pool and spa facilities, the Renaissance has the 5-star advantage over its next door neighbour, but is also the exact same sauntering distance from the airport terminal. And, depending on when you book, you may not end up paying much more for the extra star. The service and comfort levels here are excellent, with next to no noise from flights bleeding into the guest rooms. Breakfasts here start earlier too.

There are other hotels closer to Warsaw Airport, but 4-star Airport Hotel Okęcie makes up for this with bags of style and a free 15-minute shuttle service straight to the terminal building. The rooms are large and comfortable, with an excellent breakfast available from 6am. And, thanks to the lower tariff, the hotel probably ends up offering much greater value for money.
Hampton by Hilton Warsaw Airport guest room
Hampton by Hilton Warsaw Airport
(View on Booking.com or Agoda.com)
There are no budget hotels within close proximity to Warsaw Airport, so the mid-range Hampton by Hilton is the closest option for those looking to save some money. This 3-star operation takes a solid, no-frills approach but still rates highly for service, comfort and cleanliness. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to the airport terminal and a good breakfast.

Map of Warsaw Hotels
Plan where to stay in Warsaw with the WarsawVisit map. Hotels are marked in blue.
Each type of landmark has a different colour marker on the map:
- YELLOW: Warsaw Sightseeing
- BLUE: Warsaw Hotels
- RED: Warsaw Places To Eat – Michelin restaurants are DARK RED
- ORANGE: Warsaw Nightlife
- PURPLE: Shopping In Warsaw
- GREEN: Warsaw Transportation
Click on a marker and it will give you the name of the landmark, with a brief description and links for more information and directions. You can pan, scroll, and zoom around the map, or use the + or – buttons in the bottom left of the map to zoom in and out.
Click on the icon in the top left corner for an index of every location, sorted by category. Scroll down or use the map search (the magnifying glass icon) to find the place you want. Click the name of the place in the list. Its location pin will be highlighted on the map.
Each category is on a different layer, which can be switched on and off. So you can just see the Hotel or Restaurant pins, for example.
If you are using the map on your phone, open the Visit Warsaw map and then search for the name of the place. The map will then zoom in on its location.
