Cosmos is an interactive museum of illusions spread across two floors of exhibits where digital art, optical trickery, and spatial puzzles combine to confound your senses.

Warsaw has no shortage of historically significant museums. But Cosmos offers something different: a playful, hands-on space where the goal is to be fooled. The museum uses illusion as a lens through which to explore perception, imagination, and the strange limits of the human brain.
The exhibition is divided into four distinct zones:
- Optical Illusions is exactly what it sounds like — a gallery of classic and contemporary tricks where nothing is quite as it seems, from faces that vanish in the dark to impossible geometries that make the floor feel unreliable beneath you.
- Cosmic Space transports visitors into an immersive star-field environment, with an oversized telescope to peer through and installations that conjure the scale of the universe.
- Labyrinth of Secrets is the crowd favourite: a dazzling mirror maze where reflections bend and multiply endlessly, and finding your way out is considerably harder than it looks.
- And Interactive Projections puts visitors inside living digital artworks, where your movement shapes and changes what appears on the walls around you.
With over 50 exhibits spread across two floors, Cosmos is designed to be explored at leisure. Most visitors spend around 90 minutes, though it is easy to lose track of time — and your sense of direction — in the mirror maze alone. The museum explicitly encourages photography throughout, and every room has been designed with striking, photogenic compositions in mind. Come with a companion if you can; many of the illusions work best, and are certainly funnier, with another person involved.
Tickets for the Cosmos Museum are available via the official website. GetYourGuide also offers skip-the-line tickets to the Cosmos Museum and is a handy way to manage all your activities, tours, and entry tickets in a single app.
Note: At the time of writing, the vortex tunnel exhibit is temporarily out of service. Check the official Cosmos website for the latest updates, and look out for any discount codes the museum may be offering in the meantime.

How To Visit Cosmos: Museum of Illusion
Cosmos is located on Łucka Street in the Wola district, a short walk west of Warsaw’s central train station. Cosmos Museum address: Łucka 15/3, 00-842 Warsaw, Poland.
The nearest Metro station is Rondo Daszyńskiego on the M2 (red) line, from which the museum is approximately a 10-minute walk. Buses and trams also serve several stops in the immediate area, including Norblin, Mennica, and Muzeum Powstania Warszawskiego. If you are coming by car, note that Łucka Street falls within Warsaw’s paid parking zone.
The Cosmos Museum is open as follows:

Muranów, Mirów, and Powązki Districts: To the north and to the west, these districts include two powerhouse Warsaw museums: The POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews and The Warsaw Rising Museum – both are exceptional and highly recommended. There are new restaurants popping up in these areas all the time, including SZUM, and you’ll find some budget hotels, such as the ibis Warszawa Centrum.
Tips For Visiting Cosmos: Museum of Illusion
- Tickets are timed and valid for 15 minutes from your chosen entry slot. Give yourself a comfortable buffer when planning your journey to the museum.
- Photography is actively encouraged throughout, so make sure your smartphone is fully charged. Every room has been designed with photo opportunities in mind. Check #cosmosmuzeum on Instagram for inspiration before you arrive.
- The museum works best with a companion. Many of the illusions — particularly in the mirror maze — are considerably more fun when experienced with someone else.
- Most visitors take around 90 minutes to explore the full two floors.
- Children are welcome and will enjoy the exhibits, though the experience is equally engaging for adults. There is no lower age limit, but very young children may find some of the darker, more disorienting rooms unsettling.
- The museum is not currently fully wheelchair accessible. Contact the museum directly before your visit if you have specific accessibility requirements.
- Card payments are accepted.
- If you want a concessionary ticket, remember to bring valid ID to qualify.
